Our customer is a leading American manufacturer of flow measurement technologies dominating the market for over 40 years. The company offers fluid control for industries like oil and gas, chemical processing, hydraulics and pneumatics, and fluid power, using its expertise to deliver innovative flow meter instrumentation and solutions across the Americas, Europe, and Asia.
Customer Need
To achieve cost efficiency and product accuracy, the customer wanted to integrate a wireless technology-enabled interface into their family of flow meters, that would remotely control their flow meter product lines. This wireless feature would need to extend to future products as well. The connectivity interface also needed to be capable of collecting relevant end-user data to assist the customer’s marketing and sales teams. Softdel’s rich experience with wireless technology and cloud systems made it the customer’s tech partner of choice to develop a Bluetooth-based mobile app that allowed the intuitive monitoring, controlling, and calibration of flow devices.

- Based on the customer's specific parameters, Softdel developed a mobile application on Xamarin — the open-source cross-platform framework that works across multiple product lines and is compatible with both Android and iOS.
- The application was carefully designed with a highly intuitive user interface and world-class UI/UX.
- Softdel tested the mobile application in a large setup, using actual devices and a simulator.
- Each flow sensor was subsequently Bluetooth-enabled to achieve efficiency and seamless interoperability with the mobile application.
