Customer Need
Our customer sought a highly customisable monitoring and control device that connected their next-gen pressure monitoring equipment, and enabled support for BACnet as well as proprietary protocols. Softdel’s robust expertise with hardware product engineering, decades of experience with the BACnet protocol, and familiarity with ‘Human-Machine Interface’ (HMI) and application development encouraged the customer to choose us as their development partner.
Softdel’s Solution
- Softdel designed a comprehensive, end-to-end sensor monitoring solution that included hardware design, firmware development, various form factor HMI integrations, and application development.
- Hardware development was preceded by designs that included 2D and 3D modelling for a more accurate representation of the end product.
- The solution interface included a 6-layer PCB design and supported multiple environmental parameters including humidity, temperature, occupancy, and more.
- The HMI platform was designed and developed with a dynamic library capable of personalisation as per application requirements.
- The solution included Linux customisation and porting, device driver development, and Board Support Packages (BSP) development.
- BACnet integration equipped the solution with better interoperability, and Softdel further helped customer operations by conducting BACnet training and consultancy services.
